Donated Tablets for Children’s Telehealth

This year has been different for all and a challenge for most. Adaptations have become the norm, but for some, simple adjustments may not be attainable. Knowing this, Sauers Cares donated tablets for children’s telehealth.

Child and Family Focus is a mission driven, non-profit mental health agency that serves children and youth primarily in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh and Northampton, and Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania. They advocate for community-based settings for children’s optimum growth and positive change. Additionally, Operation Joy provides resources for children and families in need. These resources include back-to-school supplies, holiday help, and assistance with basic necessities.

Thankfully, Sauers Cares donated more than 80 tablets for children and families who receive telehealth services through Child and Family Focus, Inc.’s Operation Joy.

“These tablets will let us see our clients even when they’re not able to come into the office, and when the families don’t have the resources to provide them with this necessary clinical care,” according to Head of Operation Joy, Rachel.

Incredibly, donors jumped on our bandwagon. They gave tablets and financial contributions to Sauers Cares’ 2020 Giving Tuesday campaign in December. Thanks to the generosity of our friends, 80 kids and their families will safely receive telehealth counseling services from home.

“These donated tablets will ensure that our clients receive consistent support and care through the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond,” Rachel said.
