Community Connections

ADORN at Journey Church
& Cradle of Hope

At Sauers Cares, we love to make Community Connections – to connect caring and considerate community groups to passionate and impactful nonprofits. In this way, we all work together to bolster our neighborhoods.

And this holiday season, we are so very grateful that the folks at Journey Church in Warrington have joined us as an impactful Community Partner.

When we learned that Megan was looking for a cause to support through Journey Church’s ADORN women’s ministry, we immediately thought of one of our newest Hope Partners, Cradle of Hope. ADORN Gatherings are held seasonally, At each event, the women include a service project to support and give back to the community. As the mission of Cradle of Hope is to minister to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of single mothers and children, it felt like a perfect fit!

How Can Connections Help?

During a call with Megan from Journey Church and Rachel from Cradle of Hope, we brainstormed about the best ways ADORN could support the mothers and babies in residence. With two houses (and a third being renovated) with three private bedrooms and shared kitchen and bath space, Cradle of Hope depends on gifts and donations to keep those homes stocked, clean, and safe. So, at the ADORN Winter Gathering, Megan encouraged her members to donate necessities from a gift registry. She also planned an activity for the women to create photo albums and frame other photos of Cradle of Hope’s moms and babies.

Incredibly, all of the items on the registry were donated, as well as more than $500 in gift cards, Additionally, nine photo albums were delivered along with additional frames that will be used as new moms move in!

We know that the impact we’ve made through this Community Connection has strengthened both Journey Church’s ADORN members as well as Cradle of Hope’s mission as they support single mothers and their babies.

And we cannot wait to see who we’ll bring together in 2023!
