At Sauers Cares, we love to make Community Connections – to connect caring and considerate community groups to passionate and impactful nonprofits. In this way, we all work together to bolster our neighborhoods.

Therefore, we are so very grateful that the folks at St Andrew’s United Methodist Church in Warminster have joined us as an impactful Community Partner.

Learning that Pastor David was looking for a partner to support with the St. Andrew’s Spring Fling coincided with a request that we’d received from our Hope Partner, Between Friends Outreach, for an Easter basket project. It seemed like the perfect match!

Between Friends Outreach

Between Friends Outreach works with housing insecure clients, food insecurity, domestic violence victims, low income, and Veterans in our community. They work one-on-one with clients in Central Bucks County by providing resources to prevent homelessness and to assist clients transitioning out of homelessness. Most importantly, BFO provides emergency shelter, meals, counseling, budgeting skills, employment assistance, and housing assistance resources.

In the past, we have supported their efforts through donation drives and holiday gift drives. So when they began collecting items for their Easter basket project with the goal of donating 600 baskets to local families, we knew we wanted to help.

Community Partners

Through our broad network of friends and supporters, we have been found many groups who want to make a positive change in their communities. And now, St. Andrew’s UMC is one of those groups.

Recently, Pastor Dave Piltz reached out with the goal of increasing the impact of their Spring Fest event, scheduled for April 15. Immediately, we introduced him to our friends at BFO. This simple introduction resulted in direct invitations for the BFO clients to attend the event PLUS a successful donation drive for Easter basket toys, snacks, and treats.

Now, we cannot wait to see who else we’ll bring together in 2023!
