Build-A-Box Event

Unite for HER

On Saturday, November 13th, 2021, Sauers Cares teamed up with Unite for HER (UFH), a local nonprofit organization, to support breast and ovarian patients. UFH funds and delivers integrative therapies and education to women and men across the nation affected by breast and ovarian cancer. Therapies include oncology massage, medical acupuncture, nutrition consult, professional counseling, meditation and yoga, and more.

The event was a massive "Build-a-Box" event, at which Sauers Cares and more than 50 volunteers showed up to help UFH assemble and package 500 "HER Care" boxes to be sent to the women and men of the UFH family. In total, this event raised $3,450 for Unite for HER in addition to the $30,000 that was raised for Unite for Her at a recent Muscle Up Car Show. "HER Care" boxes included tumblers, self-care books and integrative healthcare products and therapy sessions!

Delivering Hope

Once 500 UFH Care boxes were packaged, Sauers Cares and other volunteers had the opportunity to help Unite for HER deliver these packages to 5 local hospitals serving breast and ovarian cancer patients. These hospitals included Asplundh Cancer Pavilion, Fox Chase Cancer Center, Capital Health, St. Mary's Breast Center at Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic and Grand View Health.

In 2021, UFH served nearly 3,000 newly diagnosed and metastatic cancer patients across the nation! It was our privilege to support women, men and families in need throughout the country by participating in this Build-a-Box event.
