Child and Family Focus

Child and Family Focus provides mental health and support services for youth and their families, and advocates for positive change in community settings. Sauers Cares saw a need to help with the organization's 'Operation Joy'. Operation Joy is an initiative that bridges the gap between what insurance covers and what families can afford. Operation Joy also provides additional resources for children and families during the holidays and school season, as well as basic necessities like clothing and utilities.

The Challenges of COVID

Almost every organization and family faced the challenges associated with COVID quarantines. For the families receiving services from CFF, quarantine meant that, during an even more difficult time for children learning from home and struggling with technologies, the critical in-person appointments became impossible. CFF knew that the team had to devise a solution to support their families and, in collaboration with Sauers Cares, they determined that tablets would be the best way to communicate with and support families.

Fire Tablets for All!

Specifically, Sauers Cares supported Operation Joy's goal to amass more than 50 Amazon Fire tablets for the organization to deploy to children under their care. This way, children could keep up with critical services while respecting quarantine and social distancing practices.  Sauers Cares was able to exceed this set goal and donated 80 tablets - all with protective cases!
