Bingo With Santa
Sauers Cares and Bucks For Kids
When we began to plan our Bingo With Santa event, we knew we wanted to partner with a local organization that supports underprivileged children. Word of mouth lead us to Bucks For Kids, a nonprofit organization a nonprofit organization that funds “extras” for children within the Bucks County foster care system by way of caseworker requests. Typical requests include funding for tutoring, music lessons, clothing, beds, uniforms, computers, graduation and prom expenses, college application fees, class trips and other “extras” that other children often take for granted.
A Sold Out Event!
On December 3, 2023, Sauers Cares partnered with Bucks For Kids for an afternoon of family bingo to benefit “extras” for children in foster care throughout Bucks County. The sold out event, hosted at the Warminster VFW, included 15 games of bingo, all called by Santa, with sponsored prizes geared toward children ages 4 through 16.
The afternoon began with a visit from Pennsylvania State Representative Brian Munroe who came by to wish the event good luck. After event participants had an opportunity to enjoy cups of hot chocolate and delicious treats from the bake sale, Santa Claus made his big entrance. After each five game set, families had the opportunity to have their photo taken with Santa.
“The bingo event that Sauers Cares hosted was such a great time! It was so fun to spend time with my niece and celebrate the season while also supporting a local charity. I love the mission of Sauers Cares, the way they lift up and give back to the community. We can’t wait for the next event!,” Lisa Witman, event participant and Hatboro resident said.
