Baby Essentials & Landscaping at A Woman's Place

An Uptick in Domestic Abuse

Sauers Cares initially connected with A Woman's Place shelter in 2020, assisting the organization in supporting women and children facing domestic violence. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, there was a devastating, considerable uptick in assault and abuse due to more individuals being stuck in their homes with their abusers. Therefore, shelters and safe spaces, like A Woman's Place, saw an drastic increase in contacts and admissions. Seeing this, Sauers Cares was determined to help.

Baby Essentials and Landscaping

Sauers Cares collected and delivered essentials like diapers, wipes, cleaning supplies, and more for women and children living at the shelter. Additionally, our team helped with landscaping outside the location - fixing gutters, cleaning up foundation flower beds, and getting the garden area prepped and planted with vegetables.

A Woman's Place offers many opportunities to survivors in need. From emergency shelter and residential services to resources and training to counseling, AWP has supported more than 2,000 Bucks County residents experiencing domestic violence. At Sauers Cares, we are looking forward to continuing to help where we can!
